Wuzhen Theatre Festival
A team of visionary artists and producers have created a major new international theatre festival in the ancient Chinese town of Wuzhen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site candidate. The inaugural Wuzhen Theatre Festival will combine an exciting mix of international and Chinese theatre amidst the stunning background of the most beautiful ancient water town in China, only an hour away from Shanghai.
EWT will be performing the one-act play Sure Thing by David Ives from May 17th through 19th (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)twice daily at 2pm and 4pm (SUNDAY at 3pm and 4pm, no 2pm show) right across from 51 Xizha Dajie 西栅大街 (across from the post office) with a fantastic backdrop of the beautiful Wuzhen canals.
Directed by Christy Shapiro, produced by Fiona Pollard, with Alex Gomar as Bill, Fern Lim as Betty, and Lexi Kalteis as fate (the bell!) and stage manager. To say that we’re excited would be a vast understatement!
