Hedda Gabler

Hedda Gabler
by Henrik Ibsen

Hedda Gabler dreams of an enchanting romantic life.

Her aspiring professor husband only has eyes for his research tomes.
The local judge’s insistent attentions are verging on harassment.
She can think of nothing worse than bourgeoisie motherhood.

It all seems utterly banal.

Then the arrival of two people from her past—an old classmate, and an old flame—catalyses Hedda into a series of actions which are enchanting and romantic … but also utterly reckless.
