Join a group of young theatre specialists from around the world for their only public Shanghai performance of this exciting new work. Queen Mab weaves together excerpts from the text of Romeo and Juliet with a narrative inspired by Tang Xianzu’s contemporary masterpiece, The Peony Pavilion. This short piece seeks to use the contrasts in the aesthetics of English and Chinese theatrical traditions to bend the boundaries between dream and reality
